Here in Malaysia, this is my feeling that most of Malay and Indian do not wear mask but Malaysian Chinese are still wearing. Wearing decision is depending on individuals. But we do not see mask people in Europe and USA because Covid was gone and/or no serious symptom of current variant. Whereas Asia, 99% of Japanese wear mask. Because I guess Japanese is difficult to object against strong synchronization pressure. I hear many cases likely ‘I don’t want to be dislike by other people even though government allow to take off mask outside, or all my classmates or colleague wear mask, so I need to wear, too’. Here, I one more time to make clear about comparison between Mask mesh size vs. Corona Virus particle size.
Surgical Mask mesh: 5.0 micron meter square
Virus Particle: 0.1 micron meter diameter
If we think of a virus as a Ping-Pong ball, mask mesh is like a house window frame. I don’t think window frame can stop many Ping-Pong balls. If you are smart, better to show your attractive face to everyone and breathe fresh air for your good in health.
